Organic Food and Farming What are the Benefits

Organic food purchases are steadily increasing, and organic food sales represent over 4% of total food sales in the U.S. By all counts, organic is now "mainstream". However, consumer confusion regarding the term “organic” remains strong. This is partly due to the multiple uses and definitions of this term globally, but also lack of agricultural literacy. In this webinar, we will describe the organic certification process in the U.S., discuss the organic philosophy, address common misconceptions regarding organic agriculture, and review the science behind organic food and farming.
