Alumni and friends of the University of Minnesota, please join us for a thought-provoking speaker event featuring Dr. Donald Wyse.
Professor and Co-Director of the Center for Integrated Natural Resources and Agricultural Management Donald Wyse is a global leader in developing crops that offer new revenue sources for farmers, renewable energy systems, and climate hardiness. He spearheads the Forever Green Initiative, which is responsive to farmers needing profitable crop alternatives. A robust outcome of Minnesota State Legislature investment, a Forever Green perennial intermediate wheatgrass research collaboration recently made its way into the commercial supply chain as Kernza (r). You'll find it used in Long Root Ale and a number of dishes served in restaurants from Minneapolis to San Francisco.
Donald will discuss how the University of Minnesota's Forever Green Initiative is creating new opportunities for Minnesota farmers.
