Mission
The University Y develops cause-driven leaders by connecting campus to community. The purpose of the YMCA is to serve relentlessly with our community to deliver programming that builds a healthy spirit, mind, and body so everyone can thrive in each stage of life.

Activity
The YMCA supports youth facing barriers including youth aging out of foster care, youth transitioning out of homelessness, and first generation college students. Volunteers will assemble and pack "welcome home" kits for youth transitioning into their first home or first dorm room, while learning about issues that impact young people in our community. The day will include learning about issues, taking action by preparing kits, and reflection on how this experience will impact us as leaders in our daily lives and communities.

Parking
Parking vouchers will be provide for 4th Street Avenue Ramp (link ramp) and University Ave Ramp (link ramp).

Arrival
Upon arrival ring doorbell if front door is locked and proceed to the third floor.

What to Wear
Please wear comfortable clothing.

Age
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate in this project.
