House of Charity
The mission of House of Charity is to feed those in need, house those experiencing homelessness, and empower individuals to achieve independence by transforming lives…one person at a time.
-Prepare food before guests arrive (chopping vegetables, plating desserts, cracking eggs etc.)
-Serve equal food to guests (interacting with community members)
-Help clean dining areas (Mop, sweep and wipe down)
-Help keep storage areas organized (Moving boxes, donations etc)
-Sort donations (restock donations in our storage spaces)
Parking available includes metered spots in front of building and pay lot next door.
Upon arrival, volunteers will enter in the door on the north side of the building (there is a sign that says welcome volunteers). They will ring the doorbell and a staff person will let them in.
What to Wear
Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants with closed-toe shoes (tennis shoes are best for this activity).
All volunteers for this project must be 9 years of age or older.
